Dear Sir 


I have a Sony playstation 2 (SCPH-79004) with board GH-062-02 and I want to
modify it to play free games, boot on import, backups, ntsc, pal games. 


Iread that there are a lot of (mod)chips available (e.g. Infinity 1.88) but I
don't know the differences between them.


Please can you explain me what kind op chips are available for my board and
what are the differences between them. Can you also give me the price of
this chip and the pictures how to install the chip on the board. 


Is themodification directly active when the chip is soldered on the board or must
the chip be programmed/updated by myself 


(I expect that the FPGA is pogrammed)?

The Modbo 4.0 is a clone of the original Matrix Infinity range of PS2 mod chips. One of the major improvements Modbo 4 has over other Matrix clones is its better compatibility with DVD 9 and runs dual layer much better then older models. Modbo 4.0 comes on a differently laid out pcb to earlier model Modbo chips, allowing for a slightly neater install.
